Chapstick

I like chapstick
It's good for your skin
It looks shiny when you grin
The smell is often kind of sweet

but it's not a good snack for you to eat

Talking to yourself

When you talk to yourself,
you can tell lots of stories

You can talk about any topics
or categories

If you get annoyed you can
just stop

You can always hear what you're
saying, no need to eavesdrop

There's no worries of judgement
of how much you care

and if you need to be by yourself
you'll always be there

Stalagmites in a cave

There are stalagmites in a cave,
seashells in the sea,
grasses in a meadow,
and a bird's nest in a tree

There's paperclips in a drawer,
magazines on a shelf,
pretzels in a cabinet
Where are you yourself?

Cats don't wear sandals

Cats don't wear sandals
bears don't wear socks
cows don't wear shorts
and neither do hawks

lizards don't wear glasses
and snakes don't wear gloves
mice don't wear jackets
and neither do doves

If your feet are cold

If your feet are cold, it helps to put on socks
if your picnic is blowing away, go and find some rocks
if the curtains won't stay open, use a rubber band
if you can't find a bowl for snacks, pour them in your hand

Music

Near the crest of a hill, under a tree
Was a small armadillo and a large bumblebee
The armadillo played the fiddle
and the bee played the clarinet
and they played music together under the sunset

If you get Syrup on your hands

If you get syrup on your hands, it might stick to your clothes
If you get mustard on your fingers, it might bother your nose
If find that there's icing on your arms, it could disrupt your day
if someone puts butter on your head, you might not know what to say

Gratitude

I am grateful I didn't step on ants
I'm grateful I didn't spill salad dressing on my pants
I'm grateful to have some food to chew
and I'm grateful that it doesn't taste like glue

I'm thankful my pillow isn't filled with rocks
and that my ears and are not filled with chalk
I'm thankful that some caterpillars do not sting
and that I have scissors to cut some string
